CIUDAD DE MÉXICO.- El 3 de febrero de 2017, a los 98 años de edad, murió el empresario Lorenzo Servitje Sendra.
Y a un año de su muerte, la cuenta oficial de Bimbo, compartió con sus seguidores la receta del éxito de la empresa, de acuerdo con su fundador.

¿Quién fue Lorenzo Servitje?
Don Lorenzo Servitje Sendra cursó sus estudios universitarios en la Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México (UNAM) donde se graduó como contador público.
En 1945 Don Lorenzo, junto con Jaime Jorba, Jaime Sendra, Alfonso Velasco y José T. Mata, fundaron Panificación Bimbo, dedicada a la fabricación de pan de caja. Fue su primer Gerente de 1945 a 1963. Fue Director y Presidente de Grupo Bimbo SA de CV de 1936 a 1981, dedicándose desde entonces y hasta 1994 a continuar sus labores como Presidente del Consejo de Administración.
Desde 1965 ha ocupado numerosos cargos en distintas instituciones a nivel nacional, entre los cuales se incluye vicepresidente de la Cámara Nacional de Comercio de la Ciudad de México (1965) y del Consejo Coordinador Empresarial (1982-85) y presidente del Consejo Nacional de la Publicidad (1986-87) y de la Comisión de Estudios Sociales del Consejo Coordinador Empresarial (1986-92), entre otros.
