The first semester was exceptionally challenging due to the program's disorganization, poor communication, unprofessionalism, and lack of a program director. Despite performing well due to the many sacrifices I've made, the thought of leaving the school crossed my mind daily, but I had already invested so much time, money, and energy toward this degree. We deserve better. We were never informed that we would be the inaugural cohort - I wouldn't have enrolled had I known. They would also send frequent alarming emails without prior notices for things that would require little effort. It's been an unnecessarily stressful and toxic environment due to these factors.

What I like about Herzing is some of the instructors that take their time to explain things you don't understand, when you ask. Other times I feel like I'm teaching myself, which gives me anxiety. I understand the testing that is needed but I believe some are overkill. The last two weeks are extremely hard with exam 2 & milestone one week and the following week, we had Hesi & Dosage Calc exam (which didn't count towards our grade) If you didn't pass with a high enough score, you could take the Milestone again, so your last week, you'd have 3 exams. It's a lot.
